Newborn Photography Questions
I am worried my baby won't settle, what will happen?
Rest assured that this is a common concern with parents who book. I work to your baby's needs and I am flexible. Feel free to feed your baby as he or she wants. Should we run out of time, I endeavour to reschedule for the next available date and time to complete your gallery.
When is the best time to book my newborn photography?
I encourage parents-to-be to schedule their session approximately 7-14 days following the due date. Of course this is flexible, babies arrive in their own time! If your baby has already been born, the most ideal time is between 7-14 days however I have photographed babies up to aged 8 weeks.
Can my other children be photographed also?
Absolutely, wherever possible I encourage parents to bring siblings along. There is nothing better than seeing your little one's images of them together displayed in your home.
Do I need to bring anything?
The only items requested of you are what you would carry in your baby's change bag.
I am breastfeeding and my baby quite likes to be on the breast a lot. Is this going to affect my session?
Your baby's breastfeeds are the most important and I will always work around your baby's feeds. My home is breastfeeding friendly and I am a breastfeeding mother too, should you require any support, please let me know so that I can signpost you to services.
Maternity Photography Questions
How early can I book my session?
As soon as you have had your dating scan! Sessions begin at 24 weeks (for timeline requests) through to 32-36 weeks. I want parents-to-be to be comfortable, which is why I don't photograph sessions later than 36-37 weeks.
I don't know what to wear, do you have any suggestions?
I provide maternity dresses for your session but please feel free to discuss styling with me in your telephone consultation.
I would like my partner/husband/wife to be a part of my session, is this possible?
Of course! If you have other children, they are also welcome to join in.
What if my baby is born early?
Try not to worry! Your session can be refunded or transferred to a newborn session if you have not scheduled this session already.
Child, Cake Smash and Milestone Photography
My child has allergies, I am worried about the cake.
The cakes made are bespoke and specific to your requirements. Please make me aware at booking and when placing your cake order.
WHat are the age ranges for these sessions?
These sessions can take place from about 6-10 months through to age 17.
I have a particular colour scheme/set up that I would like, is this possible?
Once your session is booked, we can discuss your requirements and design your session to your requirements.
I don't want to use cake, are there alternatives?
Yes! Fruit, paint, bubble and milk baths, or none at all. A splash bath session is available at the end to get little one squeaky clean before you go home.
